CrossFit Kids

CrossFit Kids Ocean City is a program designed to get kids fit through challenging physical activity. General physical preparedness allows children to develop general motor skills, flexibility, strength, speed, and a healthy mental attitude. In addtion to preparing kids for movement, CrossFit Kids Ocean City places a strong emphasis on creating a supportive environment in which mutual respect, a strong work ethic, and teamwork can foster and grow.

CrossFit Kids classes are rooted in functional movements. Kids will be taught how to move their bodies in the proper planes of motion and develop life long movement patterns that will apply to all sports and life.

CrossFit Kids classes will focus on body weight exercises, metabolic conditioning, and BIG FUN!

All CrossFit Kids classes are coached by CrossFit and CrossFit Kids certified trainers.

CrossFit Kids is for kids ages 5-11. Classes are 45 minutes and include bodyweight movements, running, rowing, and other challenging and exciting activities.

Summer Session - June 24 - July 29.   Class will meet on Wednesdays, 5:45 - 6:30 pm. Cost is $69 for the 6-week session.  Payment in full prior to the start of the first class. Contact Steve at steve@crossfitocmd.com if your child is interested.

CrossFit Kids - "Girls' Club"

Our CrossFit Kids - "Girls' Club" meets on Tuesdays from 4:15-5:30. 

Our goal is to create an environment that fosters the development of life long skills that will carry girls through the years ahead.  In a supportive, positive environment where every girl's accomplishments are celebrated, we will create

  • Healthy bodies by building strength and character through physical training
  • Healthy attitudes by enhancing self esteem and self worth through a variety of activities
  • Healthy minds by exploring fictional and non-fictional girl heroes in literature
  • Healthy hearts by participating in community service

This program was designed to foster the inner strength of our young girls so that they grow up strong, confident, and self-assured.  The environment is one in which girls learn self respect and respect for others, with the understanding that respect comes from inner strength.

Weekly meetings include CrossFit training, self esteem lessons and supporting activities, lively conversations about literature, and community service. 

The Girls' Club is for girls in grades 2 - 6. Cost for each session of six classes is $60. (Tuition assistance is available.)

CrossFit for Young Athletes

CrossFit for Young Athletes, a class within our CrossFit Kids Ocean City program, is appropriate for kids ages 12-17.  There is an athlete within everyone so it doesn't matter if you play a sport or not.  We will teach you what you need to know to accomplish great things. Within our walls, CrossFit is our sport. 

CrossFit for Young Athletes, designed for the older kids and teenagers, introduces CrossFit principles as outlined in the CrossFit Kids Training Manual.  General physical preparedness allows kids to develop general motor skills, flexibility, strength, speed, and a healthy mental attitude.  Athletes will be taught how to move their bodies in the proper planes of motion and develop life long movement patterns that will apply to all sports and life.  In addition to preparing kids for movement, CrossFit for Young Athletes places a strong emphasis on creating a supportive environment in which mutual respect, individual responsibility, a strong work ethic, and teamwork can foster and grow.

Each class will run about 45 minutes and includes a warmup, skill work, a workout, and a stretch and discussion period.  Class instruction will include body weight movements, proper weight lifting technique, metabolic conditioning, proper running and rowing form, and much, much more.

Classes will meet on Mondays, 5:15-6:00pm.  The next six-week session begins May 11 and runs through June 22.  No class on Memorial Day.  Contact Steve at steve@crossfitocmd.com if you want to sign up.  Cost is $69 per session.
