CrossFit for Young Athletes
CrossFit for Young Athletes is appropriate for kids ages 12-17. There is an athlete within everyone so it doesn't matter if you play a sport or not. We will teach you what you need to know to accomplish great things. Within our walls, CrossFit is our sport.
CrossFit for Young Athletes is a program designed to get kids fit through challenging physical activity. General physical preparedness allows kids to develop general motor skills, flexibility, strength, speed, and a healthy mental attitude. In addition to preparing kids for movement, CrossFit for Young Athletes places a strong emphasis on creating a supportive environment in which mutual respect, individual responsibility, a strong work ethic, and teamwork can foster and grow.
CrossFit for Young Athletes will introduce CrossFit principles as outlined in the CrossFit Kids Training Manual. The class will improve overall general physical preparedness. Athletes will be taught how to move their bodies in the proper planes of motion and develop life long movement patterns that will apply to all sports and life. Class instruction will include body weight movements, proper weight lifting technique, metabolic conditioning, proper running and rowing form, and much, much more.
Class will meet on Mondays, 6:15-7:00pm.
Session Date: May 5-June 30 (no class on Memorial Day, May 26th)
Summer Session: July 7 - August 18, $150.00 for the entire 8-week session. Payment in full prior to the first class.
CrossFit Level 3 Certified Trainer Steve Rakow and CrossFit Certified Trainer Erick Bruder will provide coaching for this class.
